Open house!

After a year and a half (plus) of waiting, we are finally living in our beautiful new home! It feels like it took ages for this plan to finally fall together nicely. I honestly loved every single minute of the planning, designing, painting, sanding....you name it, we did it. David is amazing. The tile work in this home is incredible. I am so proud of his ability. And, I am thrilled he goes along with my crazy design plans. Somehow they all manage to work together harmoniously. :)

The decorating has officially begun. We hosted 19 for Thanksgiving and plan to have 23-25 for Christmas. One goal is to try to fit everyone at one long table. Hope it works out.

We have our first open house on December 11 from 1:30-4. I am so excited. Hope we have a good turn out. :) I also have two school Christmas parties planned here for my yearbook and newspaper staffs. I am so excited to have a house that accommodates everyone!

Mom and I made curtains tonight for my kitchen. I am soooo thrilled with the way they turned out. We will hang them tomorrow morning - pictures will follow.

As this season of giving kicks into full gear, I am so thankful and incredibly blessed by the love of family and friends. I love you all!
